The occasion was Co-hosted by the two Speakers of Kenya's bicameral Parliament, Justin Muturi (National Assembly) and Kenneth Lusaka (Senate) at Parliament Buildings in Nairobi.

However, According to details revealed by Makueni Member of Parliament Daniel Maanzo who co-chairs the prayer committee,  during the event Kenyans should expect to see a historical turn of events in Uhuru-Ruto bromance extending that they hope the prayers will provide a platform for "the leaders to reach out to each other and reconcile".

He also added that the reconciliation between the two leaders should not be politicized expanding that it is a way to unite the Nation.

“From my point of view, I do not think there are personal differences between the President and the Deputy President. A day in politics is too long, and we pray and hope that our leaders will see the sense to unite for the sake of the nation,” he said.

On the other hand Mr. Maanzo added that  "we hope that at the end of the prayers, we will see genuine forgiveness".
