The youngsters are being treated at the Baringo County Referral Hospital, two of them are in secondary school, and one is in primary school.

Pastor Rashid Nduma of Deliverance Church is claimed to have caught one of the youths taking his cakes from a bakery in the Kaptimbor shopping area on Tuesday night.

They started burning the boy's feet in the bakery oven with the help of two other bakery employees.

The child was obliged to reveal the identities of his two buddies with whom he claimed he had been sharing the cakes.

The preacher and his gang hurried to the exposed friends' homes to rouse them up and hauled them away to the bakery, where their legs were burned.

It took the assistance of the townspeople, who had been awakened by the boys' piercing wails.

Two persons were caught, including the pastor, and were booked at the Kabarnet police station, where two additional suspects managed to flee and are being pursued.

The two are expected to be arraigned on Thursday.
