Bayern Munich shook off any doubts erupting from two consecutive Bundesliga matches without a win as they beat Lazio 4-1 on Tuesday, February 23.

This performance was one of the best this season considering the number of injuries and missing personnel due to coronavirus cases. Bayern has had a tough time following a 2-1 loss to Eintracht Frankfurt over the weekend and goals from Lewandowski, Jamal Musiala, Sane and an own goal from Lazio`s Franceso brought relief to the defending champions.
Bayern Munich guaranteed their spot in the quarter-finals of the 2020/2021 Champions League with a commanding 4-1 win over Lazio in their last 16 first leg in Rome. Bayern went 1-0 inside of ten minutes thanks to Lewandowski with the striker scoring his 72nd goal in the Champions League, third only to Messi`s 118 goals and Ronaldo`s 134 goals in the competition`s all-time top scorer list.
