The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chairman, Wafula Chebukati, has announced appointments of three new members to the team.

The posts had me declared vacant for people to apply for the positions ahead of the coming August poll elections.

 “The commission declared and advertised for these vacant positions for competitive filling. We congratulate the three successful applicants for their appointments,” said the IEBC chair.

 The three newly-elected officials are Ruth Kalundu, who has been appointed the Deputy Commission Secretary (DCS) for operations.

 Kalundu has previously worked for the IEBC as a regional election coordinator and an elections manager in Siaya county and has 12 years of experience in elections management.

 “She has 12 years' experience in the management of elections,” IEBC tweeted.

The other two officials appointed include Michael Ouma, who will serve as director and Crispin Otieno as the legal services and public affairs director. Otieno worked as an advocate of the High Court and had 18 years of post-admission experience.
