Nyandarua County "House of Chaos" (Video)
Chaos erupted at the Nyandarua County Assembly on Tuesday morning after ousted speaker Ndegwa Wahome tried to force his way back into the assembly accompanied by a group of youth.
Gathogo Wanjiru Police officers were forced to use teargas to disperse the surging crowd after they broke the gate to the assembly to allow the speaker who has been declared a persona non grata to access his office.
5 MCAs allied to Wahome were barred from accessing the assembly during the ugly incident. Among them was Gatimu Ward MCA, Kireru Wambui, who was set to table a motion of impeachment against Nyandarua Governor Francis Kimemia.
In April, Justice Joel Ngugi declared Wahome as the legitimate speaker of the Nyandarua County Assembly, therefore, ordering the Nyandarua Police Commander to protect Wahome.
