ODM Aspirant Killed While Preparing for Nominations.
A politician seeking the nomination for MCA Bombaba Borabu ward in Kisii county, on an ODM party ticket has been confirmed dead through mysterious means.

The politician, identified as Thomas Okari was a business man based in Nairobi and is said to have been killed following a late-night attack on his rural house by unknown men.
According to reports from his family, Okari travelled to his rural home from Nairobi to prepare for the nominations that are scheduled to take place on Thursday the 17th of April.
One of Okari’s Relative told journalists that the deceased, after arriving in his rural home went straight to sleep. Few moments later, Okari’s nephew who was in the house was awakened by the calls of his uncle who was being attacked by men who were armed.
Okari was struck on his head using a panga and the attackers managed to escape through the back door of the house. Okari was rushed to the hospital and some moments later, he was pronounced dead.
Before his death, Okari had posed on his managed account that he had been attacked and had been hospitalized following the attack.
“I was attacked this morning by unknown people who were after my life. Even in the hospital bed, the spirit of serving my people is unhurt," read part of his post.
The family of the deceased have linked the death of their kin to political reasons adding that the murder was plotted.
Police have since started investigations into the matter.
His sudden death has been described as unfortunate with most of his family and friends describing him as a great leader.
“It is a huge loss for the community. We call upon the DCI and Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions Kenya to conduct thorough investigations into this criminal act. Our sincere condolences to Dennis Ontweka and the family for the loss of your beloved brother," one Jared Gekombe wrote.
