Revealed! Photos Of Kilifi Bride Running Away on Her Wedding day weren't Taken in Kenya

According to a Facebook post by an online Publication The statesman, it stated that On Wednesday 22nd, a woman in Marafa, Kilifi County, ran away on her wedding day after learning that her future husband was a taxi driver and not a Kenya Commercial Bank employee.

From the post, it alleged that the woman identified as Jackeline Wanjiru stormed out of AIC Mbeeni when she heard that her hubby to be Alfred Musa was a taxi driver.

It is believed that the couple had been dating for four years and the man lied that he was an employee of the KCB Malindi branch.

Efforts by the groom's friends and family members to return the bride to the church for the wedding to continue became futile.

However, a reverse image search of the photographs on the Facebook post revealed that they were taken in 2016 and were tracked to Akwa Ibom State's Eket Local Government Area.

According to the articles related to the image, the bride fled after learning that her husband-to-be was not a Chevron employee as he had said.

Various websites widely distributed the photo in 2016.

In August 2021, the photo reappeared with the same claim.

The identical tale was repeated on this Nigerian website, however, the date of the incident was not specified.

The public is urged to treat the information provided on the bride-on-the-run as false and deceptive.
