"We are contemplating closing down the school to pave way for investigations amid complaints from parents and the local community," Chief Emmy Ngetich said.

It has been reported that a male teacher in the school has allegedly sodomized three students between the ages of 11 and 13.

According to preliminary reports, the suspect slept at the boys’ dorm despite having a room assigned to him by the school.

The suspect was brought to Mogogosiek Police Station in Konoin and is being detained in Bomet county awaiting charges on his crimes.

According to Konoin police chief Tom Achiya, the arrest was done when one of the victims complained of excruciating pain and was taken to Litein Mission Hospital, where it was determined that he had been sodomized.

"His arrest follows complaints from staff members at the school. We conducted investigations, which led to the apprehension of the suspect," the police chief said.

The suspect will be present before the Sotik Law Courts once the police have finished their investigations into the matter.
