A suspect in Embakasi Nairobi sustained seriously fractured limbs on Monday 27th after attempting to evade arrest from the police.

The incident happened when the suspect jumped off from his balcony at Amani's apartment.

Reports from the police indicate that they arrived at the man`s apartment at around 10 am to arrest him for an offence he had committed. He had been accused of obtaining money by false pretence which is against Section 313 of the Penal Code.

According to Bright Kenya news, the man devised a scheme to divert Sergeant Rose Mwanzia and police constable Geoffrey Koros' attention away from the crime scene. He came out of his room naked, leading the officers to give him some time to get dressed.

Before entering his kitchen, the suspect dressed in a pair of jeans and a shirt.

The officers, on the other hand, were alerted and soon followed him into the kitchen. He had snuck out to the balcony before they could make an arrest.

He had jumped off, fracturing his limbs, after being questioned.

The two Police officers Mwanzia and Koros were forced to give him first aid before rushing him to Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital where he currently nursing his wounds.

He is under tight security control. He will be arraigned in court upon recovery where he will be chare with two cases, attempting murder and obtaining money by false pretence.
