Deputy President William Ruto on Thursday, September 2 denounced the interior cabinet secretary, Fred Matiang'i audit on his property.

Speaking at his Karen Residence, Ruto stated that about 70 percent of his listed properties are true.

The deputy president, however, faulted Matiang'is edit stating that some key details were not included in the list.

"They included properties that I do not own on the list, so allow me to correct them. Out of the ten properties listed, 70 percent are true, the others are false. 

"The first on the list that they need to remove is the 10,000 acre ADC Laikipia Mutara Ranch. They also forgot to add that I have 400,000 shares from a local telco company," Ruto stated.

Ruto also added that Matiang'i ought to have stated his chicken farm consists of 200,000 chicken that produces 150,000 eggs daily, which tallies to an average of Ksh1.5 million from the sales in his document.

"They forgot to add that I own 80,000 shares in Kenya Airways. They should also add the security personnel guarding them," Ruto added as the crowd cheers him.

Ruto also called for a lifestyle audit of other political figures within the country.

Ruto's response comes a day after the affirmation made by the interior secretary concerning his properties.
