Deputy president Dr. William Ruto has presented his papers ahead of nomination interview for the presidential candidate for the UDA party.

Ruto, who arrived at the party’s headquarters, presented his academic papers and other important documents as earlier required by the party.

In a letter to newsrooms the party indicated that the presidential candidates were supposed to present, their academic papers, national identification card an updated resume, a proof of payment for the nomination fees and a photo sized passport.

Ruto will be contesting for the position with two other candidates that is Tracy Wanjiru and Orina Jephanei.

After the interview the party will conduct its National Delegates Convention on the 15th of March, 2022, at the Kasarani Indoor arena to announce its presidential candidate.

Ruto, who has been out of the country for an international tour to popularize his presidential bid, is seen as the most likely candidate to be unveiled by the party.

This comes at a day when the Azimio la Umoja faction is holding a National delegates convention for the coalition to unveil their presidential candidate.

 The Uhuru-Raila led coalition is expected to crown Raila Odinga as the presidential candidate at the Kenyatta International Convention Center (KICC).
