GSU Officer Fights Attackers In A Robbery Attempt

The GSU officer was walking from the Mihang'o commercial center to the paramilitary training camp in the company of two women at around midnight.

The two women managed to flee during the attack, leaving the officer to deal with the two attackers.

The trained officer staged a fight which led to one of the thugs losing his teeth and compelled the other thug to draw a long knife and stab the officer, who then fled the scene, leaving the thugs behind.

When the officer returned with reinforcement minutes later, they did not find the thugs but managed to collect two canines and one premolar, which indicated that one of the thugs was seriously injured.

They also collected a wig belonging to one of the women who had fled for safety.

The injured officer was rushed to Ruai Hospital for treatment as the detectives in Njiru hunt for the suspected thugs.

According to preliminary investigations, the thugs previously perpetrated two separate attacks in Embakasi and Njiru, robbing innocent members of the public of their cellphones, cash, and other belongings.

In a tweet, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations asked medical practitioners in the area to be on the alert for suspects who might seek medical attention from the hospitals.
