Kenyans Applaud Former IEBC CEO Chiloba On his New Job Role

Kenyans on social media applauded Former Independent, Electoral, and Boundaries Commission former Chief Executive Officer Ezra Chiloba on his appointment as the new Communications Authority of Kenya's Director-General.

Kenyans Applaud Former IEBC CEO Chiloba On his New Job Role

The position was announced by Board Chair Kembi Gitura on Tuesday 28^th September.

Mr. Chiloba will replace retired Francis Wangusi.

Communications Authority (CA) is the organ that implements political decisions on the internet, radio, and TV shutdowns.

However, Chiloba`s new appointment comes barely four years after he was fired on October 12^th, 2018 as IEBC CEO following his decision to turn down invitations to appear before the disciplinary committee over audit queries.

Hew confirmed that his employment had been terminated saying:

“This does not come as a surprise to Kenyans who have been monitoring the events at the IEBC in the last six months. The outcome was already predetermined and the process was a mere formality.”
