On the other hand, Details posted by a concerned netizen on social media stated that the domestic worker had hung clothes to dry on their balcony since they are on the first floor and in the balcony hanging line, there is usually is a pipe that drains water from the balcony via a conduit.
Grace, the next-door neighbor, was enraged by the move, claiming that the dripping water could cause a dirty odor in her bedroom.
However, due to the uproar by Kenyans on social media, the graphical video contents caught the attention of law enforcement officers who arrested Grace and later charged her with causing bodily harm.

The USAID Kenya staffer was later presented before Winam Law Courts Resident Magistrate, Chrispine Oruo in Kisumu where she pleaded not guilty to causing bodily harm.
She was released on Ksh10,000 cash bail and a Ksh30,000 alternative bond.

Due to the increase of Gender-Based Violence Cases in Kenya, Grace is a paralegal officer who helps survivors get justice, and ironically, she turned to be the perpetrator.
On March 28th, 2021 three Kenyan radio presenters Shaffie Weru, Joe Mfalme, and Neville Musya were sacked after asking if women are to blame for being attacked.

The Homeboyz radio presenters were talking about a court case where a man was accused of shoving a woman he met on Facebook out of a 12th-floor window on their first date.
Commentators accused the hosts of victim-blaming, which sparked outrage on social media.
The show was canceled after Kenyan officials said the words glorified violence against women.
The conversation of the trio on the radio read; "We were having a conversation around Eunice, the 20-year-old lady who last year, found a date on Facebook, went on a first date and after that… became immobile, she's still limping because apparently, this guy she found on Facebook invited her to a building, they were having a date on the 12th floor".

"And then guess what happened? The guy tried to make moves… She said 'yo I'm not doing this, I'm not about this' and then the guy pushed her over the 12th floor and now she's a cripple.

"And I'm calling on all the ladies… you guys need to play hard to get."
He later asked: "Do you think Kenyan chiles [women] are too available, are they too loose, too willing, too desperate and that's why they get themselves caught up in such situations?"

The clip was shared by outraged Kenyans arguing that Weru was blaming the victim.
However, the trio`s remarks led to the suspension of the Lift-Off radio show for six months.

In addition, Homeboyz radio was fined one million Kenyan shillings.
