Kennedy Ruto, a student at Radat Secondary School, skipped class on Wednesday to collect test answers for an upcoming Agriculture paper.

It is said that the student got rid of his school uniform and changed into civilian clothes before he leaped over the school fence into a nearby compound and out of the school.

According to DCI's report, Ruto and two other unidentified individuals were chatting in low tones when they realized investigators were chasing them and fled in opposite ways.

As they escaped, they left behind a phone with a copy of the Geography and Physics papers given out on Tuesday, as well as the Agriculture paper given out on Wednesday.

The quest for the culprit is still underway, with investigators from the forensic cyber and digital laboratory joining the operation.

The police say that other suspects were scooped up in Mbita, Garbatula, and Turkana, where over 60 mobile phones were taken, as part of a statewide search for exam malpractices. The forensics squad is currently analyzing the confiscated phones.
