Sigalame Highschool Dormitory on Fire Again
Sigalame boys’ high school dormitory in Funyula, Busia county was razed down again for the fifth time on Tuesday 26th October.
Christine Juma This comes barely a week after the students returned to school to resume their normal studies after one of their dormitories was reduced into ashes.
Angry Concerned parents who arrived at the school compound on Wednesday 27th demanded entry at Sigalame High School gate to find out the safety of their children.
However, no injuries in the incident were reported as the students were in class for their evening studies.
The first fire was witnessed on 26th July 2021. On Fire 8th August 2021, second Fire, on 20th August, was the 3rd Fire,20th September 2021 another 4th Fire and finally on 26th October 2021 the Fifth Fire.
All the five inferno incidences are believed to have happened in barely three months.
Kenyans are now urging appropriate authorities, like Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi, to intervene before more school buildings are destroyed.
