Stop Husband Abuse, ACK Bishop Appeals

Kirinyaga Anglican Church of Kenya Bishop, Joseph Kibichwa, and professional counselor Rose Wachira on Saturday 26th, June at St Thomas Anglican Church of Kenya Church said that so many men are beaten by their spouses, drawn into aggressive women's empowerment campaigns, and becoming feminist fighters.

Being an induction occasion of more than 200 men into Kenya Anglican Men Association (Kama) Ministry, couples were urged to control their tempers, respect each other and live in Harmony to mitigate the increasing cases of domestic violence.

The Bishop pleaded for the increasing domestic violence, highly condemning husband beating.

Many men narrated the tribulations they have been put into by their wives as others also suffer secretly.

“We want respect and order to thrive in our homes. Wives should respect their husbands and vice versa. This will teach their children to respect them and be their role models,” Kibichwa added.

The men were taken through rigorous training on how to serve their families, community, and church, and especially how to guide younger men.

Counselor Wachira urged women to appreciate their husbands' efforts to provide for their families and their future.
