Belgian blue cows are mainly found in the larger parts of Belgium. They can dwell in regions with low water contents. They are well modified to survive in low pasture areas and can go a few days without drinking water because they live in hot regions. These cattle catch the eyes of many due to their body size. They have wrinkles of muscles all over the body, becoming larger than buffalo. This is said to be a result of chromosomal disorder that is seen in these cattle. Their meat double hence obtaining huge bodies. Apart from their body sizes, they live a normal life like the other cows, only that challenges attracted by their body greatly reduces their life span. Their calves live a short life before dying- failure to adapt to the environment- which can easily explain the reason for their extinct nature.
In terms of body size, they are huge. Grown-up adults weigh over thousands of kilograms. Their body size has become a challenge as they move around.
These cattle are an important source of wealth to the native people. They usually consume their products apart from selling them wholly to the slaughterhouses at a price. Their body sizes give them an aesthetic value, and some people would like to keep them due to this nature.
