Do The Honorable Thing And Resign, CS Wamalwa Tells DP Ruto

Wamalwa who has been linked to the Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K), hit out at the DP saying he was disrespecting the same government he was elected under in a foreign nation.

CS Wamalwa argued that Ruto ought to accord respect and gratitude to his nation, instead of painting it in bad light while on his trip to the United States and the United Kingdom.

"Mimi nataka niambie William Ruto, tafadhali, you should do the honourable thing, ata wale wazungu unawaongelesha ukiona wanacheka…don’t think they are laughing with you, they are laughing at you,” Wamalwa said during a DAP-K conference at Chui House in Nairobi.

“Huwezi kuwa the deputy president, the second-in-command in a foreign land, abusing your own government and it is the same government you are still serving."

He spelt out that the DP was also benefiting from President Uhuru Kenyatta’s government financially hence should not be demeaning his country.

“The same government imekulipia plane ticket ya kwenda huko U.K na U.S na ata per diem ni serikali ya Uhuru bado inakulipia,” Wamalwa explained.

He similarly urged Ruto to imitate the example of UK’s Prime Minister Boris Johnston who once stepped down after disagreeing with the then PM Theresa May.

"Huko kwenye uko, UK, you should emulate Boris Johnson, the Prime Minister of the UK. When he differed with Prime Minister Theresa May on Brexit, he exited government,” stated Wamalwa.

The DP is currently on a 12-day tour of the European nations and the US.

In his recent addresses, he has been chewing out President Kenyatta’s governance citing blackmail, threats and intimidation from the State towards his camp.
