Taking to his Twitter account, DP William Ruto has stated that it is embarrassing for Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka to be taken before the committee that will a vet suitable running mate for Presidential Aspirant Raila Odinga.

Ford Kenya Party Leader Moses Wetangula also voiced his opinion concerning the matter on his Twitter account stating that it was such a humiliating action for the Wiper party leader.

This comes amid reports of tension in Kalonzo Musyoka's camp, with allies urging him not to attend the Raila running mate interview.

They claim he has been vice president for five years and has twice deputized Raila. They are adamant that attending the interview will be considered disrespectful.

Makueni MP Daniel Maanzo said the Wiper boss should not be humiliated in front of a panel, warning Raila that if their man does not get the ticket, he risks losing the Ukambani vote.

“The choice is his (Raila’s). If he wants to be the President, let him look for Kalonzo. I won’t advise my party leader to appear before any vetting panel so as to be told to say his names as they appear in the ID. That is rubbish,” MP Maanzo stated.

By ignoring the vetting panel, the Wiper Leader risks being excluded from Raila's choice for running mate, a development that is likely to exacerbate coalition tensions.
