“IEBC Lacked Quorum when it processed the BBI signatures” - Justice Tuiyott

Kenyan Justice Francis Tuiyott stated on Friday 20th that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission {IEBC}  lacked enough quorum at the time it was processing the Building Bridges Initiative signatures.

Justice Francis stated this during the BBI judgment ruling that on Friday 20th.

He further added “at all times, IEBC should carry out its functions with all hands on deck, to hold the quorum of IEBC can be anything less than 4 commissioners is to weaken the commission. I hold that IEBC was not quorate when it verified the BBI signatures”.

BBI was on May 13th declared null, void, and unconstitutional by the high court due to a number of illegalities within the bill and the entire process that came up with the bill.
