International Friendlies: Benzema Shines on his France Return (Video)
France sealed a comfortable win against Wales on Wednesday evening where Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema although he did not score, he performed excellently.
Gathogo Wanjiru Didier Deschamps sent a signal of intent to the rest of Europe by lining up Benzema, Griezmann, and Kylian Mbbappe in the attack.
It was clear that Benzema was going to be no different for France as he has been for Real Madrid over the last 2 years.
The striker was involved in everything the world champions did in the attack and linking nicely with Mbappe and Griezmann.
Griezmann could find himself operating as a fourth midfielder at times and the side had a nice balance of it.
However, Wales was playing one man down after Nico Williams was sent off for handling in the area which presented France with a penalty that Benzema missed.
Griezmann, Mbappe, and Dembele sealed the win for France.
