The grounds for denying bond to the suspect, Mr. Saruni Ololkushu, were upheld by Narok Chief Magistrate Samuel Mungai in his judgement.
Mr. Mungai agreed with the police that the suspect's life would be jeopardized if he was released, claiming that his homes and car had been set on fire by enraged villagers.

Witness statements, post-mortem and forensic and ballistic studies on the body, as well as the recovery of the gun used in the killing, were all mentioned by the chief magistrate.

On March 26, 2022, at about 10 p.m., Mr. Ita Bulita, the treasurer of the Naroosura Group Ranch, was shot and killed by unknown gunmen while riding a motorcycle. During the incident, one of his confidants, who was riding with him, was also hurt.

On March 29, the suspect was arraigned, and the court ordered his detention until April 4, when the most recent judgement to keep him in custody was issued.

Mr. Mungai ordered that the suspect be held for 14 days from the time he was apprehended until the police report is released on April 13th.

After the case was transferred from Ololung'a Police Station in Narok South, the suspect will be detained in Narok Police Station. Mr. Yuvenalis Obare, his lawyer, did not protest the verdict but instead requested that the matter be adjourned for further instructions.
