The lady who hit both local and international headlines for fixing car sound systems in the city was welcomed by the party's Secretary-General Veronica Maina on Tuesday, November 2.

"Cecilia Mwangi (Shosh) 80-year-old the proprietor of Shosh Sound Systems, who made ripples in the international media welcomed to UDA by Secretary-General Veronica Maina. She will contest for Nairobi woman representative seat," the party confirmed in a tweet.

This comes shortly after Laikipia Woman Representative Catherine Waruguru was on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, photographed in the company of Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika and Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa, a photo that sparked reactions online.

Waruguru's post immediately sparked speculations of her possible defection from President Uhuru's Jubilee Party to Ruto's UDA party.

"Something which we think is impossible now is not impossible in another decade. Lovely evening Fam," she captioned the photo.

It is noteworthy that before Kirinyaga governor Anne Waiguru ditched Uhuru for Ruto's hustler nation, she also posted a teaser that captured her in the company of Susan Kihika and Aisha Jumwa.
