Members of parliament were so enthralled by the act that speaker Justin Muturi had to pause the proceedings to explain his dress code.

This was after Speaker Justin Muturi noticed that something was outstanding in the MP`s attire.

"Today there is a lot of excitement in the house. I suspect it has something to do with today's unusual attire of the Hon. Sankok. He is exceptionally smart," Speaker Mutri said amidst laughter from MPs.

Sankok later proceeded to thank Muturi and other members of the House for recognizing his revamped dress code.

“Thank you, sir!” Sankok replied as he bowed his head.

In 2021 December MP Sankok was at the center of a light moment shared in parliament after Embakasi East MP Babu Owino disguised his crutches.

According to MP Babu Owino, he claimed that  MP Sankok never needed the walking crutches while at the parliament premises so he had chosen to keep them for him.

He also added that emotions in the House were running high and he was concerned that the crutches would have been used as weapons by aggrieved members since MPs allied to Deputy President William Ruto were emotional during the debate on the controversial Political Parties (Amendment) Bill 2021 and he was concerned that Sankok's crutches might be used as weapons.

"Tanga Tanga MPs were debating with emotions. They could have used Hon. Sankok crutches as a weapon to unleash violence on us, I saw it prudent to hide them until they cool down," Babu Owino stated.
