VIDEO: Fresh Details on the CCTV Footage of Mirema Shooting Emerge

In a CCTV footage seen, a man who was shot at Mirema Drive-in, Samuel Mugota has been suspected to be a criminal according to the detectives' investigation conducted.

On Monday, May 16, Samuel Mugota was killed after being obstructed by another vehicle and shot six times moments after dropping a woman and her child. An officer who requested anonymity stated that the 49-year-old man was arrested by DCI detectives from the defunct flying squad and charged in court with criminal activity.

According to a police report, the man was involved in criminal activities such as 'wash-wash' (Money laundering), spiking drinks, and accessing and withdrawing money from bank accounts using stolen phones.

Police also revealed that the deceased was a regular criminal who had previously been arrested and charged in court by the elite Flying Squad.

According to Kasarani police chief, Peter Mwanzo, the man was possibly killed in a botched deal.

“It is difficult to comprehend how heartless human beings can be. Whether it is vengeance or any other reason, it is really impossible to comprehend because nothing was stolen from him,” Mwanzo stated during an interview with an online source.

Mwanzo went on to say that the deceased man is also suspected of being behind several incidents in which members of the public have been stunned throughout the city.

One of the ID cards recovered from the car belonged to a woman who claimed she lost Sh200,000 after being drugged at a nightclub.

“We already have the phone numbers of the occupants of the getaway vehicle which the suspected shooter used to flee the crime scene and we are following the leads,” the Kasarani police chief revealed.

The deceased man's vehicle is currently being held at Kasarani Police Station. According to the police, the vehicle is registered to a different person who is assisting them with their investigations.
