According to reports, the former vice president has not yet hit an agreement with the Azimio flagbearer Raila Odinga.

Section of members of the Wiper party had earlier stated that they were demanding for the position of deputy flagbearer in the Azimio coalition.

Reports indicate that the former Prime minister wants to allocate the position to a member from the central region.

Kalonzo, who declared Raila Tosha at the Jacaranda grounds in Nairobi after signing the Azimio coalition agreement has been seen to skip most Azimio rallies.

Before his declaration, the wiper leader had hinted out lack of trust with Raila Odinga when he told the president to lead discussions between the two during the Jubilee party’s National Delegates Convention (NDC).

Also, during the Azimio Coalition agreement signing at the KICC, the process was delayed owing to the fact that the two leaders could not agree on a deal.

However, Kalonzo rubbished the claims saying that he was not the cause of delay at the KICC event but rather the ODM leader showed up late together with Kitui Governor Kaluki Ngilu.

Kalonzo who has been holding meetings with the president, hosted the president at his Karen residence last week and they are believed to be trying to come up with a solution to the matter.

The ODM leader on his part has been popularizing his presidential bid holding several rallies in the western region.

According to reports also, the president is expected to meet the two leaders to ensure that they come up with a working formula between them.

The events come at a time when the William Ruto led Kenya Kwanza coalition  still want the Wiper party to join their side.

Speaking in Kitui county, Ruto told Kalonzo to join his side ahead of the August general elections.
