Alarming Situation as More Ugandans Are Abducted

According to Ugandan`s famous opposition leader Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine, the abductions have been majorly based on his supporters.

In a tweet in his Twitter account on Wednesday, June 9th read:

supporters were abducted, kept incommunicado, tortured! For close to a month, we've been looking for them. Yesterday they were brought to a military court in absence of lawyers, charged with bogus charges, and remanded! These crimes against Ugandans must be accounted for".

Uganda went to the ballots on January 14th, 2021 to elect their next president. The elections were marred with violence and irregularities.

This saw several opposition leader supporters detained and some abducted.

Bobi Wine was also arrested on March 15th when he was leading a peaceful demonstration with his supporters in Downtown Kampala Uganda to protest against the brutal killings and abductions that had been ongoing towards his supporters.

Mr. Kyagulanyi argued that over 3000 of his supporters had been missing since the beginning of the 2021 General election campaigns back in November 2020.

However, the abductions and mysterious killings of the youths have now created fears among the parents in Uganda.
