BREAKING: FKF President Nick Mwendwa Released

Nick Mwenda, the embattled FKF boss, has been released on a Kshs 7 million bond with two sureties or a Kshs 4 million cash bail with two contact persons.

 He has been banned from visiting FKF offices, talking to the media. 

On the other hand, he has also been barred from attending any football activities in the country until the court will deliver a ruling on Wednesday, November 17. 

Earlier today the prosecution had asked the Milimani Law Courts for an order detaining Mwendwa for 14 days so that officers may finish their investigations into the alleged misappropriation of funds.

However, Mwendwa enter a plea to the fraud allegations after the prosecution filed an application to detain him, claiming that he would interfere with ongoing investigations.

"Mwendwa will most likely destroy or conceal relevant evidence or otherwise interfere with witnesses and evidence collection thus compromising the investigations should he be released at the moment," the prosecution team stated.
