DCI Officers Arrest A Fraudster Over Conning Investors Allegations
Officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations ( DCI), have arrested a man over coning investors allegations.
A serial con artist has been arrested for allegedly scamming Kenyans and foreigners out of tens of millions of shillings while posing as a senior procurement officer in various government departments.
The suspect, David Ambuku alias General, is accused of forging bogus tender documents and local purchase orders to deceive bidders and potential suppliers into believing they would be given lucrative contracts.
Ambuku was captured on Tuesday morning after attempting to flee by falling into a water tank at his home in Kimathi estate along Jogoo road.
Detectives were following leads in a fraud case in which Ambuku reportedly defrauded two salespeople out of Ksh.47 million, which led them to his house.

Ambuku is claimed to be the director of Kekoma Ventures, a company that works with government ministries and where he practices his well-honed craft of luring aspiring entrepreneurs into signing bogus contracts with him before disappearing.
The suspect has a total of eleven cases pending in various courts.
Innocent merchants, primarily young girls and foreigners looking for investment opportunities have found themselves in Ambuku’s trap.
In a similar fraud instance, Ambuku pretended to be a Ministry of Labor officer and defrauded a Chinese person of Ksh 26 million.
