The legislator, who has been bedridden since he underwent leg surgery, expressed gratitude to the second in command and the leaders that accompanied him.

"Thank you H.E DP William Ruto, Hon Ben Washiali, and Pope Phillip Koech for visiting me at the Hospital. Mbarikiwe Ndugu zanguni," he posted.

The visit by the DP comes hot on the heels of a recent statement by the vocal MP concerning his stand about the formation of regional parties within Ruto's camp.

Kuria's insistence on the formation of the Mt Kenya parties has not augured well with his colleagues in the hustler nation, who have made it clear that their party will not enter coalition talks with other parties.

Ruto is also on record to have categorically stated that he will not engage fringe parties in power-sharing deals ahead of the upcoming general elections. The 2022 presidential hopeful maintained that whoever wishes to join forces with him in next year's polls is obliged to fold their outfit and join the UDA party.

The friction within the party has triggered murmurs of a possible breakup between the DP and Moses Kuria. Kuria has umpteenth times stated that he is ready to chart his own path if his support is no longer needed in UDA.
