Drowned To Death
An eleven-year-old child who went missing last Saturday was discovered dead in a borehole in Kirinyaga County’s Kiamaciri hamlet.

Ian Murimi, a Grade Four student, vanished on Saturday, but his lifeless body was discovered floating in the borehole on Sunday evening.
According to the boy's grandfather, the family members began a thorough search for the victim as soon as they realized he was missing from home.
The boy's body was discovered within a borehole at a neighboring homestead after family members searched everywhere for him.
The boy is thought to have died after falling into the water hole while playing.
Janet Nyawira, the boy's mother, had gone to a wedding, but when she returned, she was astonished to discover that her child had vanished.
"When I didn't see my son, I informed the rest of the family, and we began searching for him. Regrettably, we discovered him dead," Ms. Nyawira stated.
Residents stated they are still in shock as a result of the occurrence.
Police raced to the scene and sent the minor's body to the Kerugoya referral hospital mortuary.
Investigations are still underway.
