The amounts of funds misappropriated since 1978 in Kenya have totaled  Kshs. 734.5 billion. Former President Uhuru Kenyatta led the list with having misused Kshs. 586.1 billion during his tenure. The worst year was 2014, which saw 367 Billion misappropriated.

From the report, men were also the highest number of individuals involved in many scandals witnessed in the country. This was also noted since many men occupy powerful seats in the government and also they have been in power for longer periods than women and this has advantaged them in establishing significant corruption networks.
