I knew exactly what I signed-Edwin Sifuna.

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party Secretary General Edwin Sifuna has this morning stated that he knew the content of the documents that he signed at the KICC during the Azimio coalition agreement signing.

I knew exactly what I signed-Edwin Sifuna.

Speaking at an interview in a local station, Sifuna has underscored claims by Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka who had earlier claimed that the secretary generals of the different parties who signed the Azimio agreement did not know the content of what they were signing.

Kalonzo further added that his Wiper party did not sign one of the documents. Responding to the claim, Sifuna said that he signed both the two documents on behalf of ODM. Sifuna further went on to indicate the content of the two documents.

I want members of ODM to know that their SG signed two documents, the first document was the agreement in relation to ODM joining the Azimio la Umoja coalition. And the second document was the declaration of the presidential candidate for Azimio.” Sifuna said.

The SG stated that the Jubilee party, ODM and OKA coalition had lawyers who drafted the agreement and that the lawyers  kept each party aware of the content of the agreement.

Sifuna further hinted on a possibility of amending the agreement by the political party members of the Azimio coalition before it is deposited at the registrar of political parties.

Until this document that we signed is deposited at the registrar of political parties, I am sure that the political parties are amenable to amendments of that document.” Sifuna added.

The SG however commended the Wiper party boss for dropping his presidential ambitions saying that it was for the common good of the whole country.
