Kenyans Call For President Kenyatta To End The Nationwide Curfew After The Nakuru Meeting Yesterday

The angry Kenyans on Twitter on Wednesday, August 18 demanded the Government to let go of the nationwide curfew.

The cry out came after a political rally in Nakuru, a meeting where ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga addressed roadside meetings in Nakuru on his way to the Sarova Woodlands hotel where he addressed a media conference in which he called for National Unity.

The government had put in place some Covid Regulations measures to help to curb the spread of the virus. Nationwide curfew running from 10 pm to 4 am and the barning of the public gatherings are one of these regulations.

Kenyans however felt they are being oppressed and denied their freedom more so of doing businesses as they are charged for working after curfew hours while the political leaders continue to have their rallies and meetings.

"Curfew hours has always been time for the police to extort money from common mwananchi. This is so unfortunate to happen in a country deemed to be democratic," one of the Kenyans claimed.

"Telling Kenyans to close their businesses by 10pm is the most useless thing on earth while the same crooked politicians are entertaining huge crowds. Uhuru Kenyatta should stop this kind of madness"

Most of the citizens even wondered if the virus only spreads during the curfew hours.

"Only in Kenya where Corona spreads during curfew hours and not in political rallies," a citizen cried out.
