Man Breaks Down for President Kenyatta Over Ongoing Laikipia Woes {VIDEO}

Aman who has been identified as Benson Kamara, a resident of Ol Moran Laikipia County broke down into tears after his house was burned down by bandits on Friday, September 10.

Benson Kamara begged President Uhuru Kenyatta to break his silence on the matter and help the locals who voted for him in a video that has now gone viral.

He bemoaned that, given the disturbance in the neighborhood, it would be difficult to follow the government's mandate to transport children to school.

"All the food that I had stored in the house has been burnt, I was not able to salvage anything yet the government keeps saying that there is peace and we should take our children to school by Monday what kind of life is this? President Uhuru Kenyatta, we chose you so that you could protect us," he lamented.

His bitter words come barely days after armed bandits torched seven homes, including two owned by police reservists, in the Ol Moran area on Friday morning notwithstanding the heavy presence of security personnel.

On Friday 10th, Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i paid a visit to the region and instructed the establishment of a police division at Ol Moran with adequate officers to patrol and increase security. Ol-Moran was also designated as the administrative center for the Kirima sub-county as well as additional police stations.

In addition, Matiang`i added that more National Police Reservists should be recruited and deployed, as well as a training base for elite police forces.

The CS also presided over the distribution of humanitarian food to inhabitants of Olmoron, Laikipia, who had been displaced due to the unrest.
