Nairobi authorities have accused property owners of negligence leading to fatally unplanned cases as another building collapses in Nairobi`s Parklands area.

According to authorities, the property owners have been ignoring directives issued by the National Construction Authority (NCA) and the county government on where to, when not to, and where not to construct a building structure.

On Thursday 7th a building collapsed in Parklands Nairobi further leaving one person dead and several nursing injuries at a Nairobi facility.

According to eyewitnesses, the building is believed to had caved in due to poor workmanship and eventually collapsed.

The collapsed parklands building comes barely a month after another five-story building in the Gachie area of Kiambu County collapsed.

The residences stated that they had raised an alarm days before the residential building had collapsed but all fell on deaf ears.

"The building had a problem from the very beginning. We raised concerns but nothing happened," a resident narrated.
