Taking to his Twitter account, Sakaja revealed photos of him and Igathe having some good times at a restaurant this afternoon.

On August 14, Sakaja thanked Igathe for conceding defeat in the Nairobi gubernatorial race.

"Thank you, Sir. You were a worthy opponent and a true embodiment of Siasa Safi. Let’s have coffee soon," Sakaja shared on his Twitter account.

Sakaja was elected as the Governor of Nairobi with 699,392 votes. He was running on the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket.

Igathe was also running on a Jubilee ticket and finished second with 573,518 votes.

"I accept the decision of the people of Nairobi and thank all our supporters. The Governor of Nairobi is His Excellency Johnson Sakaja. Congratulations," Igathe stated.
