One of her campaign cars' keys went missing, and one of the windscreens was shattered during the event.

The mob requested that the Nairobi MP exit the vehicle from which she was speaking to the public before being stoned.

Her attempts to appease the enraged throng were futile, as the protesters demanded money from the legislator. Some of the group's members were heard demanding to know what she had been up to for the previous five years.

Following the incident, the legislator resorted to social media to criticize it, urging Interior Cabinet Secretary, Fred Matiang'i and the police to take action against those responsible.

"Our convoy is being pursued. We're at Westlands, which is close to the Deep Sea. Help. Our truck keys have been snatched by goons, who are demanding money in exchange for them. We've been stranded inside the truck for quite some time. The thugs are well-known to us. Our windscreen has been shattered. Please assist me, " she explained.

The police intervened and apprehended a group believed to be responsible for the attack on the lawmaker, who thanked the policemen for jumping into action and rescuing her.

The police have yet to make a statement on the situation.

"Things made of the material may be replaced. All praise and glory to God. The police must act quickly to apprehend the criminals, who are two brothers and a woman. Women should be able to run for office and feel safe while doing so."

"Thank you to Nairobi County Police Commander James Mugera and OCS Parklands James Murigu for quickly responding to our call for assistance and taking action against the criminals. On the campaign trail, violence and intimidation should not be permitted, " according to Passaris.

She further stated that the violence was well-planned, threatening to divulge the identity of the perpetrator if she did not.

"I'm going to let the cops do their job. The event has been reported to the authorities. The perpetrators have been identified. I'm even very sure who started the attack. But that's a story for another day, "she explained.
