President Uhuru has silently reshuffled his cabinet four months to the general elections after Resignation of three cabinet secretaries.

President Uhuru Kenyatta has in the recent past been reshuffling his cabinet silently after three cabinet secretaries resigned to vie for elective positions.

Some of the ministries that were left without cabinet secretaries include the Water and irrigation ministry that was previously held by Sicily Kariuki who resigned from the ministry to vie for Nyandarua County gubernatorial position, Aden Mohammed who left the East African docket.

Finally Charles Keter left the devolution docket to vie for the Kericho County Gubernatorial position.

In an acting capacity the president appointed Trade Cabinet secretary Betty Maina to be the Cabinet secretary ministry of East African Community.The news were announced by the East african commmunity ministry through their twitter handle. 

"Cabinet Secretary for Industrialization and Trade @maina_betty this morning took over additional responsibilities as the acting CS for East African Community.” read part of the post.

Also, the president appointed Defense Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa to act as the cabinet secretary for devolution.

Further, the president appointed Transport Cabinet Secretary to act as the CS ministry of water and irrigation.
