VIDEO: Governor Kivutha Kibwana Drops Presidential Bid to Support Raila

Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana on Monday 17th dropped his urge to vie for the presidency and support Orange Democratic Movement party leader Raila Odinga in this year`s August general elections.

According to governor Kibwana, Makueni county people gave him the authority to support the former prime minister Raila Odinga.

"My people in Makueni have given me the go-ahead to support Azimio la Umoja". Kivutha Kibwana stated.

He also added that they decided with other governors to support Raila.

 "As governors, we have decided to support Raila Odinga as the presidential candidate for Azimio la Umoja. Raila is the father of devolution & as the president, he will protect devolution". He added.

The Makuni boss was speaking at a meeting in Naivasha where they met with other governors to support  ODM leader`s Presidential bid under the Azimio la Umoja movement.

From the meeting, peaceful elections was also a point of discussion where through the Azimio la umoja movement, the governors pointed out that the ODM leader has shown commitment to peaceful campaign and elections. They affirmed that they are keen to lead Azimio to grassroots mobilizations through a peaceful and progressive campaign
