Woman Raped, Abducted by Bandits In Isiolo County.
The woman aged 50 was attacked by armed bandits who raped her and abducted her when she was carrying out her daily work of burning charcoal.

The mother of six was sexually assaulted and abducted in a broad daylight incidence where over 700 goats and 25 cows were stolen during the attack which is believed to be caused by bandits from Samburu County.
With tension rising in the area, local residents are now blaming the government of failure to act against the bandits who operate in the Samburu-Isiolo border.
According to Isiolo County Commissioner Geoffrey Omonding, he had only received cases of rape and livestock theft and that he did not receive any abduction reports.
The county boss further added that the National Government Administration Officers and the police were working together to track down the criminals and recover the stolen livestock.
The area residents further added that the criminals pretend to be herders who are in search of water and pasture only for them to conduct the criminal offenses.
Moreover, the residents have threatened to conduct a demonstration along the Isiolo-Moyale highway if action is not taken against the bandits.
