Xhaka Suspended as Switzerland Face Spain in the Quarter Finals

Switzerland faces Spain in an enticing Euros 2020 quarter-final game on Friday, July 2 at 7 pm. Switzerland stunned World Cup 2018 Champions France by knocking them out of the round of 16 by penalties after a 3-3 draw.

Spain was also forced to push them harder and knocked out Croatia 5-3 in the round of 16 in a free-scoring match.

This will be the Red Crosses’ (Switzerland's) fourth quarter-final appearance in a major tournament (World Cup and Euros) and their first in the Euros.

Switzerland has lost three of its last quarter-final matches and will play their first quarter-final in the past 67 years.

However, the Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka's captained side is one of the high-scoring teams and will also face an attacking Spanish side coached by Luis Enrique.
