Choupo-Moting extends contract with Bayern Munich.

Former Paris Saint-Germain Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting has extended his contract with Bayern Munich until 2023.

His current contract with the Bundesliga giants expires on 30th June, 2021. He played 32 games in all competitions scoring nine goals.

The Cameroonian national joined Bayern in 5 October, 2020 on a free transfer and signed a one year contract from PSG. He has been instrumental in his team winning FIFA Club World Cup (2019/20) and Bundesliga title(2020/21).

Choupo-Moting reiterated that he was proud to be with Bayern and he will continue bringing success to the team.

“I am happy to be here. FC Bayern is a very special club, the number one club in Germany and also one of the best clubs in the world. My first year here was great – on the pitch, but also off the pitch, we had a lot of fun together. I want to continue to have success with the team, I’d like to reach the DFB Cup final in Berlin and ideally win the Champions League,” Moting told the club's website.  

The 32-year old joined PSG on 31 August 2018 on a free transfer from Stock City. He made 31 appearances and scored 6 goals. In his two years duration in the club, he won two Ligue 1 titles (2018/19 & 2019/20), Coupe de France (2019/20), Coupe de La Ligue (2019/20) and finished runner-up in Champions League for the 2019/20 season.
