CS Magoha Launches a New 10-month Training Program for Teachers

Speaking at Kapsabet Girls High School in Nandi County on Sunday, February 13, CS Magoha stated that the 10-month training will take place between February and December. The training program targets the teachers who would be in charge of the incoming Grade 7 pupils in the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).

He also announced that the three national examinations for Grades 6, KCSE, and KCPE are ready for administration.

“Government is continuous and if I am not there, whoever will come to take over will find everything ready and our children will be safe," Magoha stated.

“We are leaving everything in good state as far as our children welfare is concerned,” he added.

During his visit to the school, Magoha instructed all contractors to complete the 6,400 classes that are now under construction before March 7, 2022.

He stressed that the classes should be completed on time to enable uninterrupted national examinations.

“We are targeting to build 6,400 CBC classrooms during the first phase which we shall complete on that stipulated time, and the second phase should start immediately after we finish marking exams which is about the 1st week of May," Magoha stated.

Magoha further disclosed that money had already been set aside for the construction and literary materials.

“For Grade 6, everything is already in place. The books have been printed and distributed, teachers have been trained and all other materials that are required are ready,” he added.
