DP Rigathi Meets with Governors from Drought-Affected Counties
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua met with governors from drought-affected counties today to discuss strategies for dealing with the situation in the counties.

The meeting was attended by several governors including the chairperson of the governors, Anne Waiguru, Joseph Ole Lenku, Patrick Ole Ntutu, Mutula Kilonzo Junior, and Mutahi Kahiga among other governors. Aden Duale was also seen in the meeting.

Also seen in the meeting were three cabinet secretaries; Treasury CS Ukur Yatani, Transport CS James Macharia, and Public Service CS Margaret Kobia.

DP Rigathi further revealed that President William Ruto was set to flag off a consignment of relief food to various parts of the country.
"President William Ruto is this afternoon expected to flag off a consignment of relief food to various parts of the country," Rigathi stated.
This comes as President Ruto tasked Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua to convene a meeting with Governors today to discuss the next steps for the counties affected by climate change.
The counties have seen the devastating effects of drought, which has rendered most of the food in the area unfit for consumption by the locals, who are now starving.
