Twitter Partners with News Agencies for Credibility Enhancement

Twitter, one of the social media accounts partnered with news agencies such as Associated Press (AP) and Reuters on Tuesday 3rd August to fight against misinformation and misinterpretation of contents on its application.

The two agencies will now be tasked with providing credible and authenticated information on the platform.

On the other hand, the new partnership would see both AP and Reuters provide accurate information, especially on breaking news content.

In addition, the context from the publishers will be strategically placed, including in labels attached to the tweets relating to the trending topic.

This will be the first time in history the platform will be working together with news agencies to improve the accuracy and credibility of the information.

The application is set to work separately with the two publishers, with no interaction between the two parties.
