CS Magoha is expected to release later today which is barely a month after they were administered and concluded. The three-day papers were to be taken in 2021, but the pandemic disrupted the normal school calendar. The examinations were done from March 7 to March 9.

More than 1.2 million students sat for the KCPE examinations this time round. Based on the previous numbers, this is the biggest number in the history of the KCPE exams. In 2020, nearly 1.2 million students took the same exams.

The exams were held at 28,248 locations across Kenya. After receiving their results today, the students are expected to enroll in high school (Form 1) come May this year.

The SMS number that students would use to check their grades has not yet been released. The SMS code is typically changed on a regular basis.

However, one is to keep in mind that the code only works after CS Magoha has announced all the KCPE results, so it is advisable to send the SMS after his speech. The code SMS costs Kshs. 20 across all networks in Kenya.

Those interested in checking the results out online can do so at http://www.knec.ac.ke/. This is the KNEC website where you can verify your results by typing in your KCPE index number. It also gives pupils the option of printing their results.

Interested participants who will use the KNEC website are advised to be aware that the website can become overcrowded and have downtimes if there is a lot of traffic.
