KPLC Restores Power in Some Parts of the Country
Following a statewide outage that occurred on Tuesday mid-morning, Kenya Power has announced the restoration of electricity in some sections of the country.

Nairobi, Western Kenya, Mt Kenya, North Rift, South Nyanza, and Central Rift districts have all been handled, according to the company.
According to the firm, its team is continuing to work to ensure that power is restored to the remaining areas.
This comes at a time the company had declared a statewide power outage due to the collapse of towers on the Kiambere-Embakasi due to high voltage transmission power lines.
"We wish to apologize to our customers for the inconveniences caused," it said.
However, KPLC had not specified a date for when power would be restored to all sections of the country.
