Masten Wanjala`s Body Disowned by Kin Since Burying Him is a curse

According to his family members, burying Wanjala in Bungoma county will bring a curse to them.

“We’re afraid that if we bury him, we, as a clan, might be perceived as killers...”

This comes barely 10 days after the late was lynched by angry residents of Muhwea, Bungoma County, two days after his escape from Jogoo road police station.

The incident was confirmed by area Chief Bonface Ndiera who stated that Wanjala was slain in his own village after being identified by residents playing soccer.

Before his mysterious death, he was scheduled to appear in Makadara Law Court on Wednesday, October 13 to face 13 counts of murder.

The serial murder had confirmed killing children in Nairobi and two surrounding counties.

Robert Wanjala Watila the deceased father appealed with the victims' families for forgiveness on behalf of his son and requested that the State give him the body to bury.

Wanjala's escape from Nairobi's Jogoo Road Police Station seemed strange, according to his relatives, because he was heavily escorted by police during his last visit to his village.

“We know that our son had wronged many families and it was just prudent that the police arraigned him in court and have him charged for the families of the victims to get justice,” he said.
